Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on Friday insisted mobile cabinet meetings in Surin and Buri Ram next week are not politically motivated. The trip to Buri Ram was also criticised as a form of canvassing support for any bid Gen Prayut may make to retain power after the election. Veteran politician Newin Chidchob of Buri Ram will meet the prime minister and his ministers at Chang Arena, the stadium of the football club he owns. Up to 30,000 people are expected to turn out to greet the prime minister. The budget would be spent on enhancing the university's studies in order to create technology which benefits farmers, he said.
